Spanish Language Teachers for Quarter 4

April 10 – June 7, 2018
Spanish Language Levels 2 and 3


  • Valid CA Single Subject Teaching Foreign Language – Spanish credential with Bilingual Spanish Authorization, or
  • Valid CA Single Subject Teaching Credential that permits teaching “in classes organized primarily for adults”, or
  • Valid CA Adult School Credential, or B.A. with willingness to obtain Adult School credential within two years. Must pass CBEST.
  • Bilingual Spanish required
  • Previous experience teaching Spanish preferred

ESL and GED/HiSET Prep Teachers


  • Valid CA Single Teaching Credential in field to be taught, or
  • Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, or
  • Designated Subjects Adult Education Credential, or
  • Enrollment in an approved Adult Education Credential program

Some teaching experience required.  Bilingual desired, not mandatory.

Substitute Teachers

Qualifications: B.A. degree, and CBEST test

Volunteer Jobs

  • Help individual students with class assignments during class
  • Help students with conversation one-on-one or small groups outside of class
  • Help students learn basic computer skills in class
  • Fund raisers to help establish La Costa Foundation
  • Be a guest speaker for our adult classes to inspire with your personal story
  • Be a guest speaker for child care (ages 3-12) on a wide variety of topics. Or on a weekly basis, read to children, sing with them, teach simple dance steps, play rhythm instruments.
